So I've been rubbish at keeping up with this blog... luckily not so rubbish at keeping up the running. I feel like I've made a lot of progress, but with only 6 weeks to go, is it enough? After a few weeks of feeling a bit like an injury ruling me out from the marathon would not be the worst thing I'm feeling a lot more positive.

I'm a bit of a gadget horder, bugt i've got a new one that plugs into my ipod and measures how far i'm running, and various other stats. I got this shortly after my last blog entry so i'm going to put in the details here. This isn't all the runs i've done, its a lot of the ones i've done outside of the gym, as in the gym the machine tells me how far i've gone!

So earliest first... starting on holiday, getting up ridiculously early to avoid the sun which was lovely during the day but too hot and sunny to run in.

3rd September - 9.52 km
Time - 1hr 18mins
Pace - 8mins 16sec per km

5th September - 6.1 km
Time - 53min
Pace - 8 mins 52 sec per km

14th September - After approx 8km on the machine at the gym I joined a friend for a outside run.
Distance - 4.17 km
Time -35 mins
Pace - 8mins 26 sec per km

17th September - 13.92 km
Time - 1hr 56 mins
Pace - 8mins 19 sec per km

19th September - 6.68km
Time - 56 mins
Pace - 8min 23sec per km

21st September - 9.10 km
Time - 1hr 20 mins
Pace - 8mins 51 sec per km

23rd September - 16.20 km
Time - 2hrs 16 mins
Pace - 8mins 24 sec per km

So those are the runs I have recorded on the ipod. I've been doing a few extras and that doesn't include most of the sessions i've had with Ryan. I'm almost sticking to the plan Ryan gave me, and it seems to be going ok. I have finished what Ryan seemed to think was the easy bit (i must have missed the easy bit!) and now I have to even harder sessions with Ryan every week! Its all good though, I need all the preparation i can get!

I will try to keep up to date on this more often now. Please dont forget the reason why i'm doing all this work, I'm running the marathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief. Please visit my fundraising page,

Thanks
