About me:

I was always a sports enthusiast at school and therefore, in the Hockey, Netball, Rounders and Tennis teams. When I left school however, I had a rather long exercise break for about 10 years! After seeing the error of my ways and realising that I had become rather unfit and a little bit flabby, I decided to do something about it. I tried various aerobics classes but did not enjoy them so started to use the gym which I took to immediately. Soon after, I took up Ju Jitsu and kickboxing and went on to achieve my black belt in 1998.

I also competed in kickboxing, gaining a 3rd place in the WUMA ladies U60kg world championships in 1997. At about the same time I was a keen runner and have taken part in 3 half marathons. I now run much shorter distances to keep my fitness level ticking over and sometimes compete in the country wide CANX races (running with your dog!).

Personal Statement:

I am passionate about exercise and healthy eating and want others to benefit from my knowledge. Remember, it is not necessary to be super fit but  a reasonable level of fitness will improve your quality of life,  your self esteem and probably make you live longer.
