Michael Palfrey (BSc) - Osteopath
About me:
I graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1994 and have worked in private practice ever since. During that time I have had considerable experience of treating sportsmen and women of varying abilities and ages, from the ‘enthusiastic amateurs’ to the top-class professionals. I have been lucky enough to treat elite level footballers, rugby players, cricketers and one Olympic medal winner! This, and my love of most sports, has given me a strong insight into the mechanisms of sports injuries and the various modalities used to treat them. I also attend regular study days to refresh and enhance my knowledge and stay up to date with current research and best practice. I have recently enrolled on a post graduate course in ‘Osteopathy and Sports Injuries’ which may well lead to a Masters Degree and will further enhance my knowledge and ability to deal with patients with sports injuries.
I established my practice in Pangbourne as soon as I qualified but I also gained considerable experience working for other people in a variety of different environments. Over the last 14 years Pangbourne Osteopathic Clinic has steadily grown and, for the last five years, I have been there full time.
