Reduced risk of Diabetes
Diabetes is a disease in which the body either does not produce insulin (Type 1) or does not properly use insulin (Type 2). Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into the energy required for daily life. The cause of diabetes is a mystery, although both genetics and environmental factors such as obesity or lack of physical activity appear to play roles. Regular physical exercise can reduce the risk and even help to reduce the affects of Type 2 diabetes.
